DNA + H2O
the DNA is degraded relatively fast resulting in an end product of approximately half the length of the initial substrate. The enzyme is able to degrade supercoiled plasmids and shows no preferences for blunt or recessed 3'-termini of linear double stranded DNA. Whole DNA is digested to fragments between 100 and 500 bp with increasing incubation times
