The effect of a high dose of paeonol (200 microM) is better than that of 2 microM hydroquinone (HQ), which acts as a positive agent. Paeonol down-regulates tyrosinase expression at mRNA and protein level. And paeonol inhibits MITF mRNA expression in B16F10 melanoma cells und the phosphorylation of CREB Mus musculus
