expression is upregulated by iron deficiency. The iron-deficiency-dependent upregulation is mainly confined to roots

1.14.14.164
up
up-regulated under Fe deficiency through a (transcription factor) FIT-dependent pathway. CYP82C4 strongly correlates with genes involved in metal uptake/transport. The CYP82C4 promoter contains several IDE1-like sequences (iron deficiency-responsive element) as well as an RY element. The CYP82C4 transcript accumulates in Fe-deficient Arabidopsis seedlings, with circadian fluctuations (being lowest at central daytimes) in a light-dependent way. Such accumulation is suppressed under Fe excess
