General Information

EC Number General Information Comment Organism
7.4.2.2 physiological function overexpression of two different splicing variants of AAP4 significantly increases rice tillering and grain yield as result of enhancing the neutral amino acid concentrations of Val, Pro, Thr and Leu. AAP4 RNAi and mutant lines display opposite trends compared with overexpresing lines. Exogenous Val or Pro at 0.5 mM significantly promote the bud outgrowth of lines overexpressing an AAP4a splicing variant, and exogenous Val or Pro at 2.0 mM significantly enhance the bud outgrowth of lines overexpressing splicing variant AAP4b. Val or Pro at different concentrations are specifically transported and accumulate in these overexpressing lines Oryza sativa Japonica Group
