Neprilysin and aminopeptidase N enzymatic activities, follow similar variations to their respective mRNA levels. The coordinated changes of neprilysin and aminopeptidase N expression are opposite to those previously observed for pyroglutamyl peptidaseII mRNA and activity levels in limbic regions Rattus norvegicus
