Application

Application Comment Organism
industry high compatibility and performance of engineered alpha-amylase AmyUS100DIG/M197A, suggesting its potential application in detergent industry Geobacillus stearothermophilus

Protein Variants

Protein Variants Comment Organism
additional information mutant AmyUS100DELTAIG with improved thermostability Geobacillus stearothermophilus
additional information mutant AmyUS100DELTAIG/M197A shows alterations in the specific activity and the profile of starch hydrolysis. Incubation in the presence of Triton X-100 causes the decrease of 30% of the initial activity. Surfactant SDS and LAS cause a moderate denaturation of the activity by 55% and 30%, respectively. Incubation of the enzyme at 40°C with Ariel, Skip, Dixan, Det, NewDet, Nadhif and OMO increases the activity between 10% and 50%. Significantly lower requirement for calcium ions, high resistance to thermal inactivation, to chelators, to protease and to oxidative additives, in conjunction with conserved activity after storage Geobacillus stearothermophilus
