Xyl2 at 1.56 A resolution and in complex with methyl-xylopyranoside at 2.84 A resolution. Xyl2 folds into the characteristic GH11 xylanase fold consisting of a highly twisted beta-sandwich core that comprises 14 beta-strands and is further stabilized by a single alpha-helix in the opposite side of the active site.
