physiological function basal and salt-stimulated paraoxonase activity is significantly lower in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus compared to controls, while lipid hydroperoxide levels are significantly higher. Among gestational diabetes patients, serum paraoxonase activity is inversely correlated with lipid hydroperoxide levels.
