General Information

General Information Comment Organism
physiological function chloramphenicol acetyltransferase type C CAT or CATC is found in Vibrio parahaemolyticus and its closely related species Vibrio alginolyticus, Vibrio antiquarius , and Vibrio diabolicus. Naturally occurring variants of CATC can confer diverse resistance levels against chloramphenicol in Escherichia coli. The enzyme kinetics of CATC variant proteins supports the diversity of their resistance phenotypes Vibrio sp.
