General Information

General Information Comment Organism
physiological function mutation of gene sll0729 leads to lowered chlorophyll/phycocyanin ratio and slower growth. Prolonged cultivation reveals instability of the initially obtained phenotype and appearance of suppressor mutants. The suppressor strains show smaller cell size, lowered DNA content per cell, and decreased tolerance against UV compared to wild type. Suppressor cells show decreased levels of DNA topoisomerase 4 subunit A Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803
