Nicotiana plumbaginifolia concomitant with the production of capsidiol is the induction of ABA 8'-hydroxylase in elicited plants. Expression of ABAH is induced in wild-type plants and in Npaba2 and Npaba1 mutants after cellulase treatment at time points corresponding to the expression of 5-epiaristolochene synthase and 5-epi-aristolochene hydroxylase and capsidiol synthesis up
