The enzyme, found in plants and cyanobacteria, is involved in the biosynthesis of phylloquinone (vitamin K1), an electron carrier associated with photosystem I. The enzyme is a type II NADPH dehydrogenase and requires a flavine adenine dinucleotide cofactor.
