Fe2+-dependent enzyme. The enzyme is involved in biosynthesis of the nonproteinogenic amino acid β-hydroxyenduracididine, a component of the mannopeptimycins (cyclic glycopeptide antibiotic), produced by Streptomyces hygroscopicus NRRL 30439.
