gene K2S, expression of a His-tagged truncated enzyme form in Leishmania tarentolae using an expression cassette containing kringle 2 and serine protease domains, tissue plasminogen activator, together with a signal sequence derived from Leishmania tarentolae and two fragments of the small subunit ribosomal RNA locus. The recombinant enzyme is functional and secreted to the cell culture medium.
